Description
🎙️ Listen to Healthy Brain Healthy Body Podcast episode with Harry Campbell
DESCRIPTION
In this program we will discuss how peripheral biofeedback can be used by psychologists and other mental health practitioners to assist their clients by introducing them to evidence-based mind/body techniques. We will review the benefits of biofeedback applied to college students experiencing stress and anxiety. Further, we will review the efficacy and discuss non-clinical applications of biofeedback such as, peak performance enhancement. Additionally, since finances can be a barrier to ready access to biofeedback for patients, we will discuss how “off the shelf” systems may allow more access for those who might not otherwise be able to afford such interventions.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
As a result of participating, the attendee will be able to:
- Describe biofeedback and how it functions.
- List at least three biofeedback modalities
- Describe two instances of how a clinician might use biofeedback with clients who are college age students
DIVERSITY STATEMENT
