Course Description

This talk will review current knowledge regarding the use of long wave infrared imaging of forehead images along with diagnostic significance and treatment implications.

Objectives

Participants will be able to;

  • · The participant will be able to correctly identify an infrared image that is suggestive of depression
  • · The participant will be able to correctly identify an infrared image that is suggestive of anger
  • · The participant will be able to correctly identify an infrared image that is suggestive of sleep deprivation and/or frontal fatigue

Jeff Carmen, Ph.D

Dr. Carmen has been licensed as a psychologist in New York State since 1979. His practice has morphed over the years, from a general clinical psychology practice to one that specializes in headaches, with a concentration on migraine headaches. He utilizes biofeedback and neurofeedback techniques in his practice and is the inventor of the Passive Infrared Hemoencephalography system that is used worldwide to treat migraine headaches, as well as cognitive and emotional disorders. He developed the use of Infrared Imaging to aid in the diagnosis and evaluation of various mental states and conditions. He is consulted on a worldwide basis for diagnosis and treatment of treatment-resistant migraine headaches.
