Applied Psychophysiology as a Proficiency in Professional Psychology has recently been recognized by the American Psychological Association. Understanding the importance of board certification and the process of becoming proficient in the practice of biofeedback can be elusive. This panel will address the importance of practicing within the limits of one’s knowledge and how to work with others to enhance one’s skills.
Learning Objectives – Intermediate; participants will be able to;
- understand and explain the ethics and the process of obtaining board certification
- describe two ways to help educate the public about biofeedback that you can apply to your practice
- describe how ethically to bill insurance companies for services rendered related to biofeedback
